Paying in stores
To pay in stores, there is no need to wake your iPhone® or open an app. Just hold iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID®. You’ll see “Done” on the display, along with a subtle vibration and beep, letting you know your payment information was sent.
On Apple Watch®, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch up to the contactless reader. A gentle tap and beep confirm that your payment information was sent.1
Your experience with Apple Pay may vary by merchant. If asked to verify the last 4 digits of a card number give the merchant the last four digits of the Device Account Number instead. The Device Account Number can be found by selecting the information icon while viewing your card in the Passbook® app. You may also be asked to provide a signature or your debit card PIN to complete your transaction.
Paying within apps
You can also use Apple Pay on your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air® 2 and iPad MiniTM 3 to make purchases within participating mobile apps. Look for the Apple Pay logo while completing an in-app purchase to use this feature.1
